Thank you for sharing! Hope they have a huge turnout. I wish I could have been there.
I wish them great success, you and the kids enjoy your weekend.
Thank you! We will. You have a wonderful weekend also!
I love this so much Tanya
Thank you, Manuel! I hope they have a huge turnout today! Wish I was there.
Something good will happen today. I know what you mean, but wr are there in spirit. Stay amazing
Thank you, Manuel! Stay awesome, my friend!
Again, it’s a joy to read your very beautiful and haunting words! I am weary of the greed and destruction…
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. I also am weary of it. We seem to never learn from the past, and many people suffer because of it.
Nice. It’s important to raise awareness of what truly happened to the native Americans, not to wallow in guilt, but Columbus Day might be better replaced by a holiday that elevates a native hero instead. And it’s always better to know the truth than to buy into a pretty myth.
Thank you, Cathleen! Celebrating Columbus is a bit like celebrating Hitler when you think about what happened to the Taino people. I agree. I wish we would replace it. I think you have a great idea! Have a great weekend!😊
Thank you for the share! Have a great weekend.
If only words could achieve more … but I commend yours.
Thank you so much, Dave! I wish they could as well, but we keep writing them and hope.
I’m starting to sense a passion for the role of indigenous peoples, from many lands, in our world.
Absolutely. I’m passionate about using my voice to advocate for persecuted and poor people whenever I can. Indigenous cultures have been among the most mistreated of all people in the past 500 years of human history. Have a great week!

This is excellent, and I hope everyone reads it.
Thank you so much for the share! It means a lot to me.
I always thought it should be Lost Sea Farers Day, myself. No matter who got here first after Native Peoples, they had no clue where they were going. Kind of like discovering a hole in the earth because you fell into it, isn’t it? Wouldn’t want my name attached to THAT…
Lol…Good point. There is a move to celebrate Indigenous Peoples on that day. That seems appropriate to me. Thanks for the comment! I love your take on it.
Very nice job with the ending.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you liked it.
poetic expression in true sense
Thank you so much! 😊
