Happy #worldpoetryday to all my writing friends!
Thank you so much, Stephen! They are addictive. I’m going to spend some time reading through your back catalog this week. I noticed you had done that for another blogger I follow, and I think it’s a lovely thing to do.😊
Thank you Tanya, and it has been an amazing part of my journey here to do it. Not only to learn more about the individual author, but to respect them and to really appreciate the humanity that connects us. Sort of a lofty thing, I suppose, but it feels meaningful to me. The hard part will soon be keeping the focus on only one as there are many I want to get to you included!
I’m humbled that you even think of me in that list. There are some amazing writers on WP. I find inspiration from them every single day. Time is always the issue in reading blogs. That said, I’m looking forward to reading from your back catalog, Stephen! I’ll leave a few comments over there as I go. I hope you inspire more bloggers to do the same.
Thank you, again. It’s a privilege to interact with so many amazing people from all over the world. I’ll leave a few comments as I go through your older material…and try to watch my spelling…Lol 😊
The basics of good teaching in this one, Tanya. Good job!
🙂
Thank you, Steve! They are good reminders for me as well…Lol
Have a beautiful day, my friend!😊
I find that what I write is also very applicable to me as well. I can always try to improve. I’m all for learning from my own words as they come from scripture.
🙂
If I don’t learn from it, I can’t teach it to my children either. Have a wonderful day, Steve!😊
I understand what you mean, Tanya. We strive to teach things of social and moral value to our children, as well as, show them in our own lives to others. Have a groovy day, my friend!
🙂
I will do that! You have a great day also! Badger game tomorrow night!🏀
Hi Tanya! Hope all is well with you today…getting caught up on things and such. Yes, tonight is the Wisconsin game, go Badgers! Wish I had a basketball emoji… 🙁
Hi, Steve! I have relatives coming for the game, so I’m busy getting food and stuff ready. I’m getting excited! 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
If they win, I’ll probably tweet it!
Perfect!
Thank you so much, my friend! I’m thrilled you thought so. Have a wonderful day!😊
Reblogged this on The Militant Negro™.
Thank you! Have a great day!
Namaste My Friend.
I’m still waiting for those roots of patience! 🙂
Lol…Are you waiting patiently? Thanks for the comment, Annabelle! Have a great day.😊
Odd story … I remember the last time I ran carefree as a child does. I was about 14 on a well-worn path in back of our house. I hit a sawed-off branch with my ankle and it bled for hours … I still have the scar. I never ran again without holding back from fear. Nice poem and photo! Jane
Thank you for sharing that, Jane! I love reading stories like that. The lessons we learn the hard way…ouch! Glad you enjoyed the piece. Have a great evening!
Much in little – hits all the classical haiku targets – including nature if you count ‘roots’!
Thank you, Dave! I label them all haiku, but mine are usually a hybrid haiku/senryu. The human/nature connection is strong, in my mind anyway. Wish we would collectively learn more from it.
Nice calling those obstacles on the trail “roots of patience”.
Thank you, Frank! It’s hard to look at them that way sometimes…Lol
Another good one! Thank you.
Thank you, Roger! This one came to mind with my oldest returning to college. He’s ready for summer…Lol
I know that feeling. The wind is bitter this afternoon. Damp and cuts right through the clothes you wear.
I’m ready for warm weather. It is improving here all week though. It will reach you…
I know. It’s always warmer inside when we shut the garage door, shut the inside doors, and pour a nice warming glass of something … I have a little plastic spring I then place in the glass …
Lol…Those “warming glasses of something” can be useful..
Almost as good as ear muffs!
Lol…
