Fishing is fun, but I don’t think I’ve ever released one catfish I’ve ever caught, except into my skillet. I LOVE catfish.
Looks like a good fishing spot too.
Really! We caught two 18″ catfish. I lost a third right on the shore. That area is designated catch and release though.
My son caught a large mouth bass. That was exciting. It bent his pole right over. It was fun!
Large mouths are fighters, thats what makes ’em such great sport fish. Glad you guys had a ball.

I started catching catfish when I was 7, baited my hook and the whole 9 yards. Nothing tastes better on a plate than corn on the cob fresh off the grill along side deep skillet fried catfish rolled in some yellow corn meal, before cooking!!!
I have never tried catfish. My grandmother makes pan fish that way, and they are amazing. Catfish are heavy fish. They are a riot to catch. I am impressed that you could bait the hook at 7.
I was hunting rabbits and quail at 12, a crack shot by 15…was groomed for the Rangers sniper unit and didn’t even know it. I don’t hunt any longer but i fish catfish, bull heads and perch whenever I can. I also catch sardines and smelt with a net.
Haha…None of us hunt. We do enjoy getting out to fish.

No. Not yet anyway. We all like fish, so we should probably graduate to that…Lol
Nothing beats fresh caught fish, but do it legally.
