Should I Warn the Neighbors?

Green grass grows from my newly thawed yard. Smoke bombs and backyard craziness to follow…
Have a beautiful weekend, everyone! 💐🌷🌺🌼💕😎😊😉🤣

Bloom

then danced,
laughing blossom
dressed in vivid petals
she blushed against the summer air
held nectar in pool, intoxicating
invited winged friend for deep drink
until both, satisfied
bathed in the light
then danced

A Spring Haiku

in buds, fresh life sleeps

’til warm air blows, unyielding

then leaves of trees kiss

Cherita #12

time springs forward

children play
in the newly thawed earth

Mother Nature observes
their dirty paws and fur
and sends the April rains

A Fluid Haiku

the birds splash their baths

neighbor cat dips paws for koi

when pond’s waters flow

Brush Strokes

brush strokes
press wet color
onto open surface
thirsty canvas sips the pigment
as liquid hue drips from the long bristles
painting in living color, thick
intoxicating drink
through sinuous
brush strokes

A Cooing Haiku

wake to warming notes

as song birds echo through trees

and mourning doves coo

I Think, Maybe…

I think, maybe…

when the pen cut’s deep,

the poet bleeds words

that parched souls

drink.
