Little Red Riding Hood
forgot to mount her horse
left him behind
chomping grass in the field
she,
being too foolish or too lazy
to take the time to
catch
brush
saddle
and
bridle
her willing pet
and too grossed out
to pick his hooves,
filled her basket with wine and cake
and set off down the trail
ON FOOT
to feed her sick granny
her mother warned her strictly
to stay on the trail
she should have told the girl
to use her brains
and ride her pony
I would tell you more,
but there is no more to tell
The Little Red Riding Hood girl,
Not Riding
was too slow
to outrun
the Big Bad Wolf
he
ate
her

Dear T you ALWAYS look goid the camera loves you! But she did a great job!♡
You made my day! Thank you. It helps to have love on the other side of the lens. She brings out my best!❤
superb
Thank you so much!
Did the wolf drink her wine, too? It would be a shame if he didn’t. Beautiful photo!!
Lol…There was no one else left to drink it. I would assume he washed her down with it. Thank you, Rob!

Thank you for the share! I hope you had a great weekend!
Wishing you a great week ahead and a smashing first day of summer on Wednesday.
Thank you! I hope you have a wonderful summer as well. I know it isn’t your favorite season, but I wish you a happy one!
Every season I am alive is good. Now you enjoy summer with the kids.
😊
She should have shared and got him drunk (the WOLF) and walked happily to see grandma.
Lol…I don’t think she was that bright. She did leave her horse behind, after all!
u are so right silly wee girl.
Beautiful
Thank you, Manuel! I liked the twist at the end!
Yes
😊
Amazing one
Thank you so much! It was a fun piece to write.
Yes indeed
Did she taste good I wonder or was she just torn asunder? Never-the-less she payed for her blunder.
Lovely photo. Have a nice day.
Haha…I love that:
That greedy wolf didn’t spare one sole.
He took a bite and swallowed whole…
(then made off with the wine)
Have a nice day as well!
Thank you.
Well done, Tanya. I love this!
Thank you, Jennie! Teach those little ones to use all the tools in the shed! Have a great week!
Will do! 🙂
This is a great poem… I read another nice version by Roald Dahl!
And, I know that I have said this before… I will say it again. You have incredible eyes.. They shine with intelligence
Thank you so much! I will look up the Roald Dahl version. I wasn’t familiar with that.
Such a fun read, Tanya. This made my day. 😀
I like the French version where the woodcutter saves the day and cuts the Grandmother unharmed out of the wolf, but what’s the lesson in that!
It must be that the French are hopeless romantics! 😉
Thank you, Ally! I definitely didn’t go for the romantic version on this…Lol
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊
It’s a pleasure, Tanya. It inspired me to write my own version! LOL 😀
I can’t wait to read it. Have you posted it? I haven’t been out visiting sites yet today…
Yes, it’s called “hoodwinked” and it’s got a picture of the big bad wolf! (aka my dog Ted who crossed the rainbow bridge) 😉
Lol…I love that!😊
Thanks, Tanya. It was fun, and thanks for the inspiration. It’s good if I’m not too serious all the time! 🙂
You are very welcome. The inspiration goes both ways. And I agree, we need to be silly sometimes!😊
Tanya, there is a metaphor for progress. If you retreat, you will be eaten. By the way, blue must be your favorite color. It suits you. All the best, Keith
Thank you so much, Keith! Don’t retreat, and don’t leave your mount in the field…Lol Have a wonderful day!😊
Reminds me of a Churchill saying, “When you are walking through hell, keep walking.”
Or start running…
That is a good one, Keith! 😊
Tanya, I can’t picture old Winston running. Maybe a fast waddle. Keith
I really loved this. Well done!
Thank you so much, Keith! Enjoy the rest of your week!😊
You too
I will! Thank you!
Love this take on the classic fairy tale. 🙂
Thank you, Cathleen! I’m so glad you liked it. It was a fun piece for me to write!😊
Great picture of you. Life will be back to normal in a week or two. Everything wonderful here.
Thank you! Glad to hear it, Roger!
