A Marauder’s Sleep

I sleep
a down pillow
anchors my weary head
while thoughts soar wildly unbounded
and sail on clouds, stealing the dark night’s gems
this pirate plunders the heavens
and burns stars into dreams
adventuresome
I sleep

  1. I don’t know how I missed this one. It conjures up thoughts of Peter Pan in my head?! Anyway, another wonderful piece, Tanya…

    1. It is a gift you are giving to others, and I’m honored that you are taking the time to read through mine. We writers bleed words, imprinting our hearts on the page. So, yeah…It’s a window in.
