breeze rustles the crown

leaves shower cool droplets down

ground drinks the night’s dew

      1. We awoke to a red sun this morning with the drifting smoke from all the fires burning up country here in British Columbia, the “dog days” of summer are here in all their glory and peril due to the changing jet stream (and above normal temperatures!).
