Great poem… Out of curiosity, what is Rictameter Verse? Maybe I’d like to try it! Hope all is well with you and yours! As always, blessings!

Hi, Jonathan! Thank you. Rictameter verse follows a syllable pattern of:
2
4
6
8
10
8
6
4
2
The last two syllable line is a repeat of the first two syllable line, creating point of connection to play with. It is fun form to play with.
Many blessings your way! ☺

Thank you! You should try it. It is a lot of fun to play with, especially working the repeat of the first line on the last. It forces some creative connections through the poem.

My pleasure! I was introduced to it by Linda Wolff. If you are interested, this is the post where she introduced the form:

Highly effective imagery and you make good contrasting use of the repeated word.
