Dripping

dripping
in summer heat
morning dew off green leaf
sweat beads off the playing child’s brow
ice cream, vanilla-chocolate swirl, off scoops
caught by a hungry, lapping tongue
before lost to the ground
now, down face, sweet
dripping

      1. Well, here too. I love summer, but it’s a bit ridiculously hot over here. Running around to extra water the plants, our dog, myself….jeeeeez hahaha
Oh and got your very kind email and responded 😉

  1. I like an orange bar myself…. Its an ice-lolly

But summer? No… Its 42-44 (Celsius) here, and I am getting roasted. Still, its better than the monsoon months of July & August…

    1. Hi, Rajiv. I love anything fruity. Dinner tonight was fresh cherries, raspberries and apricots.

I don’t mind the heat if I have shade and a breeze. Hang in there and stay cool. 😎😊
