What is the meaning of Cherita?
Great question. A cherita is a poem with three stanzas that should progressively tell a story. The first stanza is one line, second is two, third is three. (Unfortunately, if you read this on a phone, the “verse” on WP block editor doesn’t hold the lines properly. I’m still trying to figure that out. 😂)
Also, the cherita is not named but numbered. This keeps the writer from using the title to expand the available lines of the story.
It’s a fun form if you want to practice tight word selection.
