A Healing Tanka

shards of fractured days

slice deeply through battered skin

blood spills through the cracks

 heartless world mocks, looks away

but love observes and binds wounds

~

Dedicated to all the abused children in this world who need loving arms to hold them.

  1. A very good poem, Tanya. Love does “observe” and binds wounds, just as we should be doing. Excellent point made in your thoughts…

      1. Man, is that ever the truth! We do need to LISTEN to others, not just hear what is said and then forget about it.

Enjoy your day, my friend 🙂

  3. You have a way with words that few writer’s (I have read) compare. Your words seem carefully chosen adding value and meaning to each post. I wish you much creativity and deep felt emotions in future writings.

Wishing you and your family a very HEALTHY and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
